Welcome to AusIMM Kalgoorlie Branch
The Kalgoorlie Branch of the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy (AusIMM) represents 300 individuals working in the Goldfields. Branch activities include:
- Regular technical presentations at the Hannan's Club (see Events for more details);
- Providing sponsorship to local schools and the WA School of Mines Students;
- Facilitating the proposed upgrade to the Red Hill Heritage Walk Trail in Kambalda;
- Running a trial field trip to be held in September.
The Branch's priorities for this year are:
- To provide professional development opportunities for Kalgoorlie Branch members.
- To promote awareness of AusIMM benefits, activities, policies and services.
- To support WASM furthering the relationship between the Kalgoorlie Branch and the students/faculty.
- To reinforce the importance of mining in the community, promoting the minerals industry as a career path.
- To increase branch-generated income.
- To build a strong branch committee with sound leadership.
