Welcome to AusIMM Kalgoorlie Branch


The Kalgoorlie Branch of the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy (AusIMM) represents 300 individuals working in the Goldfields. Branch activities include:
  • Regular technical presentations at the Hannan's Club (see Events for more details);
  • Providing sponsorship to local schools and the WA School of Mines Students;
  • Facilitating the proposed upgrade to the Red Hill Heritage Walk Trail in Kambalda;
  • Running a trial field trip to be held in September.

The Branch's priorities for this year are:
    1. To provide professional development opportunities for Kalgoorlie Branch members.
    2. To promote awareness of AusIMM benefits, activities, policies and services.
    3. To support WASM furthering the relationship between the Kalgoorlie Branch and the students/faculty.
    4. To reinforce the importance of mining in the community, promoting the minerals industry as a career path.
    5. To increase branch-generated income.
    6. To build a strong branch committee with sound leadership.
